WHAT DOES BRIAN YAGER BRING TO THE TABLE? A PASSION FOR THE ACTING CRAFT, A LOVE OF STORYTELLING, A PERSONABLE DEMEANOR, A MOTIVATED ATTITUDE, AND AN EAGERNESS TO LEARN AND GROW!
Brian has been in love with acting and the art of film from a very young age! Since his first viewing of the Academy Awards in 2003, he has become fascinated with cinema, watching and enjoying as many movies as he could! It wasn’t until 2006, when he got his first taste of acting, that he appeared as a background actor on the hit show ER. His love for acting and performing continued to grow throughout middle and high school, having performed both onstage in numerous plays as well as Los Alamitos High school’s nationally-ranked show choir.
After getting his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Illinois Wesleyan University, Brian found work in another one of his passions: teaching. He worked in a variety of different classrooms, from special education to math intervention, before switching to a brief career as a financial planner. In his free time, Brian was heavily involved with Community Players Theatre in Bloomington, IL, performing in productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, The Wedding Singer, Cabaret, and Big Fish. His aspirations for a serious future in acting were placed on the back burner for many years as he tried to figure out what type of career he would be happiest doing. With the help of his incredible support network, he realized it was time to fully commit to turning his dream acting career into reality.
Brian started his journey in June 2021, where he was invited to attend the Applause Rising Talent Showcase, a hybrid competition and exhibition, to an audience of talent agents and casting directors from all over the country. He competed in Monologues, Commercials, Film Scene, Singing, and Improv categories where he placed third in Improv and competed in the semi-final round with his monologue. Additionally, he received great insight and advice from agents on how to continually gain exposure and market himself.
After returning to Chicago, where he is based, Brian enrolled in the John Casablancas Centers in their thirty-week Elite Television and Print training program to further perfect his craft and learn more about the entertainment industry. Upon completing the program, he signed with Model and Talent Management agency and most recently signed with Promote Talent Agency in Chicago, IL.
Brian has been featured in a few episodes of Chicago P.D. (NBC), Chicago Med (NBC), Chicago Fire (NBC), and 4400 (The CW), in addition to commercials for Autos Today and Insured on the Spot, feature films, student films, and industrials. He continually searches and auditions for the many opportunities in the Chicago-area.
In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, SCUBA Diving, exercising, traveling, rocking out to classic rock, and spending time with loved ones!
